Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Rugged bedrock terrain north of the Fernberg Road, east of the Moose Lake Road, 16 miles east-northeast of Ely.

Elevation: 439 meters
Verbatim Elevation: 1440 feet
Habitat: Uncommon and local on 20- to 30-foot, northwest- facing cliffs on the upper portion of a 100-foot bedrock ridge along Uncle Judas Creek. Partial shade of Betula papyrifera and Populus tremuloides. Mesic to dry-mesic settings. Small patches on narrow ledges, and along crevices of the metamorphic diabase.
Associated Species: Associates include Dryopteris fragrans, Polypodium virginianum, Gymnocarpium dryopteris, Lonicera canadensis.
