Verbatim Elevation: 1190 feet
Habitat: Very local in a degraded calcareous fen in a heavily grazed pasture east of the highway. Deep saturated marl (with abundant, coral-like, tan to gray concretions in the upper part of the soil profile) on a buoyant peat dome raised 2-5 feet above the adjacent gentle slope. Small and loose to dense patches in a narrow circular band that surrounds small, moss-filled, upwelling zone pools at the center of the dome. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Lobelia siphilitica, Equisetum arvense, Eupatorium maculatum, Parnassia glauca, Triglochin palustris, Gentianopsis procera, Packera aurea, Carex prairea, C. interior, Muhlenbergia glomerata.
