In a mesic deciduous forest
Soils were a heavy loam derived from calcareous glacial till.
Dominated by Acer saccharum and Quercus rubra. Associated with Allium tricoccum, Uvularia grandiflora, Cardamine concatenata, Claytonia virginica.
