Habitat: In an unusual bedrock bluff prairie with frequent sandstone outcrops and areas of loose sand.
Substrate: In sand.
Associated Species: Associates include Schizachyrium scoparium, Rumex acetosella, Poa compressa and Hieracium longipilum.
