Locality: United States, Minnesota, Olmsted, Whitewater Wildlife Management Area. On the North Fork Whitewater River, about 7.7 km southeast of Plainview. About 2.8 km west of the intersection of Cty. Rd 10 and 72nd St. NE.

Habitat: Uncommon to rare at base of approximately 100 ft. high, north-facing cliff above the river. Mesic hardwood forest dominated by Tilia americana, Acer sp., Fraxinus americana, Ulmus sp., Celtis occidentalis. Understory dominated by Taxus canadensis.
Substrate: Silt, dolomite talus.
Associated Species: Aralia nudicaulis, Parthenocissus sp., Carya cordiformis, Cystopteris bulbifera.
Description: Approximately 10 m tall, 15 cm dbh.
