Habitat: Common in wet-mesic prairie dominated by Deschampsia cespitosa, Panicum virgatum, Sorghastrum nutans, Andropogon gerardii, Carex buxbaumii. Scattered Salix spp., Populus tremuloides and Betula pumila.
Substrate: Loam.
Associated Species: Solidago gigantea, Solidago riddellii, Lysimachia quadriflora, Glycyrrhiza lepidota, Apocynum sibiricum, Liatris ligulistylis, Thalictrum dasycarpum.
