Habitat: Northern mesic forest dominated by Quercus rubra, with scattered younger Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, and Prunus virginiana.
Substrate: Sandy loam.
Associated Species: Pteridium aquilinum, Oryzopsis asperifolia, Pinus strobus seedlings, Rubus sp.
Description: Scattered in 10m x 15m diffuse patch.
Individual Count: 25-50
