Locality: United States, Minnesota, Pine, Nemadji State Forest. About 14.5 km northwest of Cloverton. On the Park Truck Trail, about 11 km west of the intersection with the Gandy Dancer Trail.

Habitat: Plants occasional to locally common in younger northern hardwood forest dominated by Populus tremuloides and Acer rubrum. Occasional Pinus strobus, Abies balsamea and Betula papyrifera. Forest is slightly hummocky.
Substrate: Sandy loam.
Associated Species: Dendrolycopodium dendroideum, Gaultheria procumbens, Cornus canadensis, Pteridium aquilinum.
Description: 15m x 8m patch.
Individual Count: 25-50
