Habitat: Common, scattered in floodplain terrace forest edge adjacent to open meadow/flood channel dominated by Leersia. Forest dominated by Acer saccharinum, Fraxinus pensylvanica, Celtis occidentalis, Acer negundo and dead Ulmus sp. Understory with occasional Rhamnus cathartica.
Substrate: Silt.
Associated Species: Leersia virginica, Carex lupulina, Carex grayi, Elymus virginicus, Scutellaria lateriflora, Boltonia asteroides, Lysimachia ciliata, Laportea canadensis.
Individual Count: 50+
