Habitat: Local in mesic hardwood forest dominated by Betula papyrifera, Tilia americana, Populus tremuloides. Abies balsamea, Betula papyrifera, Acer rubrum in subcanopy and shrub layer.
Substrate: Sandy loam.
Associated Species: Eurybia macrophylla, Aralia nudicaulis, Solidago sp., Oryzopsis asperifolia, Osmorhiza sp., Dendrolycopodium dendroideum, Lathyrus sp.
Description: Patch 5m x 5m.
