Habitat: Occasional in oak forest/woodland dominated by Quercus ellipsoidalis, Quercus macrocarpa, Betula papyrifera, Prunus serotina. Occasional Acer rubrum in subcanopy. Shrub layer with Frangula alnus, Prunus serotina.
Substrate: Sandy loam.
Associated Species: Carex pensylvanica, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Symphyotrichum sp., Sceptridium multifidum, Galium boreale.
Description: Plants diffuse in 15m X 15m area. Strobili stems yellowed.
