Locality: United States, Minnesota, Chisago, Carlos Avery Wildlife Management Area: Sunrise Unit. About 4.6 km northeast of Stacy. About 180 m south-southeast of the parking lot on County Road 18 (870 m east of the intersection of Hemingway Ave. and Cty. Rd. 18).

Habitat: Slight upland area adjacent to wet meadow/shrub carr. Forest/woodland dominated by Quercus ellipsoidalis, Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Populus sp. Acer rubrum dominant in subcanopy/shrub layer.
Substrate: Sandy loam.
Associated Species: Carex pensylvanica, Dendrolycopodium dendroideum.
Description: 2 patches, one about 2m x 2m with fair cover of D. obscurum. The second, about 2m x 4m with plants more diffuse.
Individual Count: 25-50
