Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Fairly rugged bedrock terrain north of Jackfish Bay, Basswood Lake, 14 miles north-northeast of Ely. On the northeast shore of Hube Lake.

Habitat: Uncommon and very local. Very small but fairly dense patches in a small (~1/4-acre) rich shoreline fen; in Sphagnum carpets ~1-3 inches above the lake level and just back from the water's edge. Full sun to partial shade of stunted Myrica gale.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Utricularia cornuta, Drosera intermedia, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Lycopus uniflorus, Carex lasiocarpa, C. utriculata, Rhynchospora alba.
