Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Along the shores of Basswood Lake in fairly rugged bedrock terrain two miles south of Basswood Falls, 15 miles northeast of Ely.

Elevation: 396 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1300feet

Habitat: Very local on the lake shore ~12-16 inches above the water (lake is down ~8-12 inches from the early season high mark, still somewhat high for mid-August) in a setting that is wave-washed and at least partially inundated early in the season. Moderately dense patch of a few hundred plants here. Rooted in shallow angular gravel over gently-sloping granitic bedrock. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Carex katahdinensis, Dichanthelium acuminatum, Deschampsia cespitosa, Eleocharis elliptica, Packera paupercula.
