Rare and local in a bedrock savanna atop an extremely steep northwest-facing slope of 230-foot ridge overlooking the lake. A few plants here at the highest point of the ridge (geodetic survey marker nearby). In shallow detrital-organic soil in a subtle depression in the granitic bedrock. Full sun to partial shade of Pinus strobus and P. banksiana.
