United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Fairly rugged bedrock terrain 1.5 miles south-southwest of Basswood Falls, 15 miles northeast of Ely. Along a small drainage emptying into the narrows at the northeast end of Jackfish Bay, Basswood Lake.

Habitat:
Local, infrequent to occasional on the margin of an old beaver pond. Also similarly along the associated slack water flowage just upstream of the small and partially drained pond. Small clumps in mud near the water's sedge. Full sun.

Associates include Torreyochloa pallida, Bidens cernua, Callitriche palustris, Spirodela polyrhiza.
