United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Fairly rugged bedrock terrain north of Fourtown Lake, 15 miles north-northeast of Ely, along the northeastern shore of Moosecamp Lake.
Common to locally abundant. Dense patches in shallow water (to ~8 inches deep), and stranded just above the water line. Rooting in coarse sand and gravel, often amongst rocks and small boulders. Submerged plants with flower stalks held erect and emergent. Mostly in full sun.
Associates include Ranunculus flammula, Lobelia dortmanna, Juncus pelocarpus, Elatine minima, Eleocharis palustris, Carex lasiocarpa, C. utriculata.
