United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Fairly rugged bedrock terrain north of Fourtown Lake, 15 miles north-northeast of Ely, along the northeastern shore of Moosecamp Lake.
Sporadic, locally frequent. Small and loose to moderately dense patches in shallow water (3-10 inches deep); rarely stranded just above the water line. Rooting in coarse sand and gravel substrates, often with scattered rocks and small boulders. Mostly in full sun.
Associates include Eriocaulon aquaticum, Ranunculus flammula, Lobelia dortmanna, Carex lasiocarpa, C. utriculata, Eleocharis palustris, Juncus pelocarpus.
