Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Fairly rugged bedrock terrain north of Fourtown Lake, 15 miles north-northeast of Ely, along the northeastern shore of Moosecamp Lake.

Habitat: Sporadic, locally frequent. Small and loose to moderately dense patches in shallow water (3-10 inches deep); rarely stranded just above the water line. Rooting in coarse sand and gravel substrates, often with scattered rocks and small boulders. Mostly in full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Eriocaulon aquaticum, Ranunculus flammula, Lobelia dortmanna, Carex lasiocarpa, C. utriculata, Eleocharis palustris, Juncus pelocarpus.
