Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Fairly rugged bedrock terrain 12 miles north-northeast of Ely, on the east side of Fourtown Lake, west of the two portages to Horse Lake.

Elevation: 125 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1,410feet

Habitat: Local atop a steep-sided, 120-foot, bedrock hill. Infrequent, scattered loose groups of plants in shallow soil over dry granitic bedrock, on the gently sloping crest of the hill and on the steep, upper, south-facing slope. Mostly in full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Prunus susquehanae, Vaccinium angustifolium, Woodsia ilvensis, Solidago juncea, Corydalis sempervirens, Potentilla arguta, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Hieracium umbellatum, Comptonia peregrina, Fallopia cilinodis, Dichanthelium acuminatum, D. xanthophysum, Danthonia spicata.
