Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Crane Meadows State Wildlife Management Area in Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. Gently rolling sandy outwash along the lower reaches of Buckman Creek, five miles west-northwest of Buckman, eight miles southeast of Little Falls.

Elevation: 338 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1110feet

Habitat: Occasional, forming loose patches in canopy openings in an overgrown savanna. Full sun to partial shade of Quercus ellipsoidalis and Pinus banksiana. Deep sand with thick thatch. Level to gently sloping settings.

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Poa pratensis, Andropogon gerardii, Geum triflorum, Achillea millefolium.
