Habitat: Quite local in a small, (1.5-acre) degraded, mesic prairie remnant in a narrow strip between small, shallow wetlands and the property boundary (the adjacent private land is cultivated). Deep black loam. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Bromus inermis, Sorghastrum nutans, Poa pratensis, Andropogon gerardii, Galium boreale, Commandra umbellata, Hypoxis hirsuta, Lathyrus palustris, Lithospermum canescens, Viola pedatifida, Helianthus maximiliani, Fragaria virginiana, Glycyrrhiza lepidota, Zizia aurea, Z. aptera, Thalictrum dasycarpum.
