Locality: United States, Minnesota, Winona, Whitewater Wildlife Management Area. Along the South Fork Whitewater River in rugged forested terrain 2.5 miles north of Utica, five miles northwest of Lewiston.

Elevation: 18 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1,060feet

Habitat: Uncommon, sporadic on the gently-sloping middle to upper portion of a 160-foot, east-facing bluff. Mesic hardwood forest dominated locally by Quercus rubra and Populus grandidentata. Understory of Acer saccharum and Ostrya virginiana. Widely scattered small clumps. Deep clayey-silt.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Geranium maculatum, Allium tricoccum, Arisaema triphyllum, Anemonella thalictroides, Erythronium americanum, Carex pensylvanica, C. hirtifolia, C. blanda.
