Habitat:
Local on a narrow, gently-sloping ridge spur atop an extremely steep, south-facing bluff. Oak savanna. Patchy canopy of Juniperus virginiana, Quercus macrocarpa, Q. rubra, and Populus grandidentata. Silty soil. Loose patch. Stems trailing along ground. Several dozen inflorescences; purple flowers.
