Habitat:
Frequent locally on a narrow ridge spur atop an extremely steep, south-facing bluff. Oak savanna with a patchy canopy of Juniperus virginiana, Quercus macrocarpa, Q. rubra, and Populus grandidentata. Gentle to moderately steep southeast-facing slope. Silty soil. Ray flowers white to light bluish-white.
