Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Rugged terrain along the lower reaches of Shattuck Creek, one mile west-southwest of Choice, nine miles southeast of Lanesboro.

Habitat: Sporadic, occasional to locally quite abundant on forested bottomlands of the narrow valley along the creek, and similar setting in major tributary valleys. Specimens collected from a quite dense and fairly extensive patch in degraded bottomland hardwood forest near the base of a steep, 220-foot, south-facing bluff. Patchy canopy of young Ulmus americana, Juglans nigra, and Acer negundo. Deep silt. Sporadic, but increasingly abundant, in the forested bottomland of Sections 4, 5, 8, and 9.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Zanthoxylum americanum, Rudbeckia laciniata, Glechoma hederacea, Carex grisea.
