Habitat:
Infrequent on sandstone buttes known locally as the Camel's Back, especially on the crest and north-facing slopes of the 100-foot high buttes. Dry prairie degraded by past grazing. Rocky silty sand. Full sun to partial shade of Juniperus virginiana.
