Infrequent to occasional on a gravel bar, in a setting that was, until the past ~two years, long-submerged by the dam that impounded the Lake Shady reservoir. The long, broad, nearly level bar rises 3-5 inches above the current water level, along the north bank of the river. In rounded, pea-sized gravel, moist just below the surface. Full sun.
Associates include Persicaria lapathifolia, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Bidens cernua, Eragrostis hypnoides, E. pectinacea, Cyperus squarrosus.
