Locality: United States, Minnesota, Olmsted, Along the South Branch of the Zumbro River on the edge of Oronoco, immediately upstream from the U.S. Highway 52 bridge.

Habitat: Infrequent on a gravel bar, in a setting that was, until the past ~two years, long-submerged by the dam that impounded the Lake Shady reservoir. The long, broad, nearly level bar rises 3-5 inches above the current water level, along the north bank of the river. In rounded, pea-sized gravel, moist just below the surface. Full sun. Yellow ray flowers.
Associated Species: Associates include Eragrostis hypnoides, E. pectinacea, Cyperus squarrosus, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Lindernia dubia, Persicaria lapathifolia.
