Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Along the lower reaches of Shattuck Creek 1.5 miles west of Choice, nine miles southeast of Lanesboro.

Habitat: Occasional on the lower portion of a steep, 220-foot, north-facing bluff, not far upstream from the mouth of a large tributary valley. Rich mesic hardwood forest dominated by large Tilia americana and Acer saccharum. Understory of Acer saccharum, Ulmus americana, Staphylea trifolia, Carpinus caroliniana, Ostrya virginiana, and Corylus cornuta. Rich, rocky silt. Herbaceous layer dominated by Isopyrum biternatum.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Dentaria laciniata, Laportea canadensis, Erythronium albidum, Mitella diphylla, Galium aparine, Trillium flexipes, Deparia acrostichoides, Adiantum pedatum.
