Habitat: Infrequent and quite local beneath a major power line, in an area that was formerly jack pine-pin oak woodland. Gently sloping setting. Sandy soil. Few dozen plants. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Cladina spp. lichens, Carex pensylvanica, Danthonia spicata, Schizachrium scoparium, Poa pratensis, Oryzopsis pungens, Salix humilis, Antennaria howellii.
