United States, Wisconsin, Washburn, Along the Namekagon River south of U.S. Highway 63, one mile south-southeast of Stanberry, six miles west-southwest of Hayward. On the north side of the river between the Soo Line Railroad and the Enbridge pipeline.

Habitat:
Occasional in seepage swamp and wet hardwood forest. Interrupted canopy of Fraxinus nigra, with frequent Betula alleghaniensis. Understory of Fraxinus nigra, Abies balsamea, Acer rubrum, A. spicatum, Alnus incana, Ilex verticillata, and Corylus cornuta. Moist organic clay, and in groundwater seeps.

Additional associates include Carex brunnescens, C. bromoides, C. crinita, C. intumescens, Glyceria striata, Osmunda cinnamomea, Impatiens capensis, Symplocarpus foetidus, Rubus pubescens, Ribes triste.
