Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Douglas, Level to gently rolling terrain in the headwaters of the East Fork Moose River, four miles northwest of Solon Springs. Along the Enbridge pipeline and a major power line ~one mile north of Tom Green Road.

Verbatim Elevation: 1,220feet
Habitat: Occasional and sporadic in sedge meadow and willow swamp (both were formerly ash swamp). Moderately quaky wet peat. Full sun. Few-stemmed shrubs to 5 feet tall here, and many-stemmed shrubs to 6+ feet tall occur in the adjacent alder swamp (also a former ash swamp).
Associated Species: Associates include Salix petiolaris, S. discolor, S. lucida, S. pyrifolia, Spiraea alba, Alnus incana, Carex lacustris, C. utriculata, C. stipata, Calamagrostis canadensis, Glyceria canadensis, Calla palustris, Onoclea sensibilis, Typha xglauca.
