Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Douglas, Along the lower reaches of the Nemadji River, on the southeast side of the city of Superior, just east of the Enbridge tank farm.

Habitat: Uncommon and local in alluvial wet meadow / shrub swamp. Organic clay substrate. Shallow surface water. In full sun. Leaves have a bluish hue. One rather small but fairly dense patch was encountered.
Associated Species: Associates include Typha xglauca, T. angustifolia, Salix planifolia, Sium suave, Equisetum fluviatile, Calla palustris, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani.
