Habitat:
Local on the narrow bottomland, near the base of a steep, 220-foot, northwest-facing bluff. Occasional in a ~one-acre groundwater seepage meadow. Forms clumps. Maroon basal sheaths. Moist to wet organic silt. Mostly in sun.
