Locality: United States, Minnesota, Stearns, Level to gently rolling terrain on the southwest side of St. Cloud, just northeast of Cold Spring Granite's Charcoal 3 quarry.

Elevation: 53 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1,175feet

Habitat: Frequent in a small (~½-acre) zone of wet prairie that is more diverse and also at a subtly higher elevation than the surrounding meadow. Forming loose clumps in an area that is dominated by Carex haydenii and Calamagrostis canadensis. Moist sandy soil with a shallow organic cap. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Carex conoidea, C. pellita, Stellaria longifolia, Gentiana andrewsii, Lathyrus palustris, Saxifraga pensylvanica, Solidago gigantea, S. canadensis, Platanthera flava, Ophioglossum pusillum, Rubus strigosus.
