Habitat:
Frequent in a small (~½-acre) zone of wet prairie that is more diverse and also at a subtly higher elevation than the surrounding meadow. Forming loose clumps in an area that is dominated by Carex haydenii and Calamagrostis canadensis. Moist sandy soil with a shallow organic cap. Full sun.
