Local on the upper portion of a steep, 160-foot, east-facing bluff along a large tributary ravine. Mesic hardwoods dominated by mature Acer saccharum, Quercus alba, Q. rubra, and Tilia americana. Understory of Ostrya virginiana, Carya cordiformis, and Acer saccharum. Rocky (dolomite) silt, near low outcrops; at the elevation of larger dolomite cliffs which occur a short distance on either side of this spot. 20 robust clumps here, larger ones with up to six stems.
