Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Along the middle reaches of Diamond Creek, in rugged terrain five miles east of Lanesboro, not far up the north fork of the creek from the confluence with the south fork.

Habitat: Local on the narrow valley bottomland. Occasional in a small (1-acre) seepage meadow, at the base of a steep, 220-foot, northwest-facing bluff. Moist, mucky silt. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex laevivaginata, C. hysteracina, C. stipata, C. retrorsa, C. vulpinoidea, C. cristatella, C. granularis, Eleocharis erythropoda, Scirpus atrovirens, Leersia oryzoides, Glyceria grandis, Aster prenanthoides, Impatiens capensis, Lycopus americanus.
