Habitat:
Occasional and sporadic on the level to gently-sloping ridge top that separates the valleys of the north and south forks of the creek. Mesic hardwood forest dominated by large Tilia americana, Fraxinus americana, Quercus rubra, Q. alba, Acer saccharum, and Populus grandidentata. Understory includes Acer saccharum, Carya cordiformis, and Ostrya virginiana. ~30-50 plants encountered in 30 acres. Clayey silt; numerous earthworm castings. Also in N1/2 of SE1/4 of SW1/4 Sec. 13.
Associated Species:
Associates include Carex albursina, Desmodium glutinosum, Geranium maculatum, Athyrium angustum, Parthenocissus inserta.
