Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Along the middle reaches of Diamond Creek, in rugged terrain five miles east of Lanesboro.

Habitat: Very local on the lower third of a steep, 220-foot bluff. Restricted to the immediate vicinity of cold air vents on a very small algific talus slope. The bluff faces northwest here, at the western terminus of the ridge which divides the north and south forks of the creek. Small patches. Rooted in moss mats on low (2- to 5-foot high) dolomite outcrops, around the margins of the vents. The air exiting the vents is ~35-40 degrees Fahrenheit. Shaded by the surrounding mesic hardwood forest. White flowers with four petals.
Associated Species: Associates include Cystopteris bulbifera, C. fragilis, Arabidopsis lyrata, Mitella diphylla, Campanula rotundifolia, Rubus pubescens.
