Local near the margins of a small (one-acre) bog pond, in a ~150-acre peatland (mostly a stunted spruce bog). Mostly restricted to subtly lower and wetter depressional settings within ~20 yards of the pond; this represents ~30% of a much broader depressional zone of low-statured vegetation dominated by Rhynchospora alba. Wet spongy peat. In continuous Sphagnum carpets. Mostly in full sun.
