Habitat:
Quite local along the northern shore of a ~20-acre boggy lake. Forming loose patches in two small (~ΒΌ-acre) zones of rich sedge fen dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Frequent on tall and mostly continuous hummocks of Sphagnum angustifolium. Wet and quite buoyant peat, not far from the water's edge. Full sun.
Associated Species:
Additional associates include stunted Larix laricina and Picea mariana, also Carex utriculata, C. rostrata, Dulichium arundinaceum, Drosera rotundifolia, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Calla palustris, Iris versicolor, Myrica gale, Sphagnum magellanicum.
