Habitat:
Uncommon and local in a small patch (~2 acres) of lowland cedar. Patchy canopy of Thuja occidentalis. Patchy understory of Alnus incana, with occasional Fraxinus nigra. Several fairly dense patches here, including a group of 75-100 upright shoots. In Sphagnum moss carpets on low hummocks.
