Locality: United States, Minnesota, Koochiching, Extensive peatland between the Big Fork and Little Fork Rivers, 7 miles northwest of the town of Littlefork, 15 miles southwest of International Falls.

Habitat: Local in a fairly large (~10-acre) bedrock outcrop complex rising 15-30 feet above thousands of acres of peat bog. Frequent to locally common in shallow detrital-organic soil over level to gently sloping, metasedimentary bedrock (biotite schist). Mostly in full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Corydalis sempervirens, Hieracium umbellatum, Selaginella rupestris, Woodsia ilvensis, Senecio paupercula, Lactuca canadensis, Fallopia cilinodis, Viola novae-angliae, Vaccinium angustifolium, Danthonia spicata, Dichanthelium acuminatum, Agrostis scabra.
