Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Rugged forested terrain along the Root River two miles southwest of Rushford, on the south side of the river two miles east of Peterson.

Elevation: 21 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1,070feet

Habitat: Infrequent and very local in moss-covered sand along a deep, narrow ravine that is cut into the upper portion of a large sloping sand terrace which extends ~260 feet up from the base of 480-foot bluffs here. Shaded mesic hardwood forest setting. Canopy is locally comprised of large Pinus strobus and Quercus rubra. Understory of Ostrya virginiana. Several small patches here.

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Equisetum hyemale, Athyrium angustum, Parietaria pensylvanica, Mitella diphylla, Eupatorium rugosum.
