Habitat:
Quite local here along a small drainage. Infrequent to occasional along the top of a rather large beaver dam that impounds ~4-5 feet of water depth, creating a fairly large (5-acre) pond. Plants are rooted in moist to wet, mucky-organic substrate, just above the water level. In full sun. Small clumps.

Associates include Sagittaria latifolia, Callitriche palustris, Bidens cernua, Sparganium emersum.
