Habitat:
Occasional to frequent in a large beaver meadow recovering from past flooding. Small clumps in a zone dominated by Zizania palustris, fairly far away from a large dam that was partially breached in recent years, resulting in a ~2- to 3-foot drop in the level of the pond. Full sun. Moist to wet organic substrate, ranging from muck to peat. Small vegetative plants (seedlings?) are often frequent in areas of moist exposed substrate.
