Habitat: at the edge of a mesic oak-aspen forest.
Associated Species: Rhamnus cathartica, Lonicera tatarica, Prunus virginiana, P. serotina.
Description: A single large shrub with 3 stems, the largest 5.5 m tall, and 9 cm dbh. Stamens 8-10, anthers white. Simple thorns not abundant; compound thorns absent; Est 3-4 days past peak anthesis (spring 3-5 days late). From same stem as #28296.
