Habitat: in seepages and rock surfaces. Dominant plants - Salix glauca, Betula nana, Vaccinium uliglnosum, Carix biglovii, and Empetrum nigrum, with Anthelia spp., Marsupella spp., Andreaea spp. and Sphagnum fimbriaturn and Sphagnum spp. abundant at higher; and S. lindberg-il present
Substrate: On mesic north-facing, exposed granitic outcrops and adjacent mesic tundra.
