Locality:
United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Voyageurs National Park. Fairly rugged bedrock terrain north of Little Shoepack Lake, on the Kabetogama Peninsula 25 miles east-southeast of International Falls.
Habitat:
Quite local at the base of a steep, south-facing, 20-foot biotite schist bedrock slope, on the margin of a four-acre beaver meadow. Gently sloping upland zone that was flooded in past (large dam failed between 2003 and 2008). Full sun to partial shade of small Pinus strobus, Quercus rubra, and Picea glauca. Thick humus over rocky silt.
