Habitat: On a disintegrating floating mat with a moat on edges. No Sphagnum seen. In community dominated by Thelypteris palustris, Typha angustifolia and several Salix spp.
Substrate: In small, steep-sided basin along road.
Associated Species: With Carex lasiocarpa, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Sagittaria spp. and Cornus sericea.
